Program Overview

The Clearview Regional School District Instrumental Music program is a multi-tiered system that supports two-hundred and fifty students in grades 7 - 12. The program is comprised of five curricular ensembles, ranging from a grade level ensembles in middle school to the award winning Honors Wind Ensemble. Students have the opportunity to participate in numerous extracurricular ensembles, including a marching band, colorguard, jazz band, and select chamber ensembles. Clearview students and ensembles perform throughout the Mullica Hill and Southern New Jersey area, including recent performances for the NJMEA State Music Educators Conference, NJBA State Honors Band Gala, Gloucester County Meeting of Superintendents, Wenonah and Mantua Township Memorial Day Parades, as well as the Region III (SJBODA) and New Jersey State Honors Band and Orchestra.

Sunderman Wind Quintet Visits Clearview

On Wednesday April 24th the Sunderman Wind Quintet from the Sunderman Conservatory at Gettsburg College joined the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band. The Quintet recently performed in New York City as part of a composers consortium, and took time to share their performance with the students at Clearview. Many thanks to the members of the quintet for sticking around to work with the Clearview Wind Quintet in preparation for their upcoming performance at the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival. Marching Band Spring Meeting/Workshops

It's time to start thinking about the 2019 Marching Band Season!! Students interested in joining the marching and and colorguard for the 2019 season should plan on attending the spring interest meetings and workshops. Percussion and Colorguard have afterschool workshops from 2:30-3:30pm, with winds workshops TBD. All new parents and students should plan on attending a Parent Information Meeting on Monday May 20th at 6:00pm in High School Band Room. Our Band Parent Executive Board will be on hand to discuss all aspects of marching band including summer and fall schedule, time commitment, competition schedule, and more! State Gala - Wind Ensemble Information

NJBA State Gala - Evening Concert 6:00 – Westfield High School 6:30 – West Orange High School 7:00 – Southern Regional High School 7:30 – Clearview Regional High School 8:00 – Randolph High School 8:30 – J.P. Stevens High School Student Schedule – Students will arrive at the high school by 1:30pm, this is a change from the initial schedule sent out a few weeks ago. We will be departing from Clearview as soon as possible, in order to give us time at dinner. Instrumental Students Perform at Teen Arts Festival

On April 3rd sixteen instrumental music students joined over forty students from Clearview Regional High School at the Gloucester and Salem Counties Teen Arts Festival at Appel Farms. Music, art, dance, and theatre students from around the region had the opportunity to present their creative output for audiences and judges alike, receiving immediate feedback from a talented group of adjudicators. World Renowned Clarinetist Julian Bliss Visits Clearview

World renowned Clarinet player Julian Bliss visited the Clearview Regional High School ensembles on Tuesday April 2nd. Mr. Bliss has performed as a featured artist with orchestras around the world since the age of 6, performing multiple times for the English royal family. Mr. Bliss shared stories from his past, as well as performing numerous times for both ensembles.
