1st Annual Concerto / Aria Contest

Directions

  • Select a song that includes an instrumental accompaniment (see JW Pepper)

  • Record the music and video in either MP4 or .VID format

  • Once the music is recorded do one of the following:

  1.  Upload the video as an unlisted YouTube Video and submit the link on the attached Google Form

  2. Take a video in .MP4 or .VID format and submit the file in the Google Form. Note: If the video is too long students may have to upload via YouTube.

Contest Rules

  • Musical selections must have a preexisting instrumental accompaniment. Please consult a sheet music publisher for more information. (JW Pepper)

  • Recordings must be created in one take without any editing to the original video or audio

  • Student and any instrument must be present in the video at all times.

  • The only other people performing, other than the soloist(s), should be accompanists. If there is a backing audio track used, that is acceptable.

  • Contest winners will be selected via a committee of Clearview Regional High School staff members. Winners will be contacted via the email provided. If more than one person participates in a video it will be the responsibility of the person that is contacted to share.

  • By submitting a recording you are giving the Clearview Regional High School Band Program permission to share recordings via the Clearview Regional High School District webpage as well as various social media platforms.
