Below are a few updates from the Clearview Band program for both students and parents. We would like to thank everyone for their support of the Jazz Bands last week as they presented their fantastic Night of Jazz. Just a reminder that the Clearview Bands provide updates on both Facebook and Twitter (@viewbands), and the website is updated with information about all facets of the band program. Best wishes for a great spring, we hope to see you at an event soon.

• Band Parent Meeting – There will be a band parent meeting on Tuesday March 3rd, 2020 in the band room starting at 7:00pm. We will be discussing the Coffee House and well as information for the upcoming marching band season. All are welcomed!

• Senior Band Spotlight – For all students in the Class of 2020... please take a minute to fill out the following survey. We would like to feature members of fantastic Class of 2020 throughout the rest of the year to spotlight your fantastic achievements.

• Playoff Basketball Game – Both the boys and girls basketball teams are in the playoffs with home games on Tuesday. We have been asked to put together a pep band for the double-header. The girls game starts at 5:00pm and the boys immediately follows at 7:00pm. If you are available please use the sign-up genius below. You do not have to be in marching band to play in the pep band

• Concert Band Festival – The Wind Ensemble and the Wind Symphony are performing at the SJBODA Region III Concert Band Festival on Wednesday March 4th. The event takes place in the Pfleeger Concert Hall on the campus at Rowan University. The Wind Symphony is on first at 9am with the Wind Ensemble following at 9:45am. There is no charge for admission, we hope that you can come out and support our ensembles.

• Ensemble Audition Materials – Wind Ensemble Audition materials for the 2020-2021 school year will be available at the end of the week. Students wishing to be considered for the Wind Ensemble need to prepare the selected materials. Auditions will take place the first week in April at selected times throughout the day. Materials will also be available on the website at viewband.org/ensemble-auditions.
