View from the Band Room (2.1)

Edition 2.1 - September 2020


I hope that everyone is doing well and having a wonderful summer. A couple updates from the band program before we start the beginning of the year.

  • Students should bring their music folder from last year on the first day of classes. Instruments will not be needed on the first day of school. Students who are full-time virtual should either find someone to bring their folder into school, or find a time during the first week to drop it off at the main office.

  • All students should make sure to accept their band’s GoogleClassroom. They should have received an invite on their student email. Information from Mr. DeLoach, Mr. Maiorielo, or myself will provide updates there.

  • We will not be using the instrument storage locker rooms at the beginning of the school year. Each student will have a designated space to keep their instrument and any music specific items. Please do not keep any items in the band room not related to the band classes.

  • Students who are full-time virtual will receive an email from me within the next couple of days to set up a meeting.

Updated Marching Band Schedule

An updated version of the marching band rehearsal and performance schedule is now posted on the calendar. In-person rehearsals will start on Monday September 14th at 6pm.

We will have a virtual informational meeting for all students on Wednesday September 9th at 6:30pm. There will be more information about the season as well as important information about uniforms and activities.
