Wind Ensemble Selected to Perform at NJMEA Conference
The Clearview Regional High School Band program is proud to announce the Honors Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the 2022 New Jersey Music Education Association (NJMEA) Conference in February. The NJMEA Conference is the premier gathering for music educators in the state, with only a dozen performing group across all disciplines selected for featured performances. This acceptance marks the second performance for the Wind Ensemble at the NJMEA Conference, following their 2018 conference performance.
The Clearview Regional High School Wind Ensemble is a forty-member auditioned group consisting of students in grades 9-12. The ensemble keeps a full calendar of performances on campus and in the local Mullica Hill community. Past accolades included Superior ratings at the South Jersey Region Band Festival and participation in both the New Jersey State Gala as well as the New Jersey Music Educators Association Conference. Members of the Wind Ensemble received numerous individual accolades, including being named to All-South Jersey, All-State, and All-Eastern ensembles, participation in local independent honors ensembles, and superior ratings at solo and ensemble festivals.
The Clearview Regional High School Band Program would like to thank John Horchak III, Superintendent of School, Keith Brook, Principal of Clearview Regional High School, and Kate Bourquin, Visual and Performing Arts Supervisor, for their continuous support of the band programs throughout the school district.
The Wind Ensemble will perform on Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the Atlantic City Convention Center. More information about the performance is forthcoming. Next week the Wind Ensemble will perform alongside the two additional curricular high school bands at the Clearview Regional High School Winter Bands Concerts on Tuesday December 14th at 7:00pm in the Toscano Theatre on the campus of Clearview Regional High School.
